PhD Program in Counseling Psychology provides integrated scientist-practitioner training in psychology as a scientific discipline and in counseling psychology as an area of professional specialization.
In this program, there are good faculties who are active researchers and practicing psychologists who help students develop into a multiculturally aware researcher and clinician applying evidence-based practices.
Students will understand current theory and research in human development, learning, research design, measurement, and statistical analysis and be able to demonstrate that they can read and write critically and analytically about theory, research, and practice.
Students will learn how to make significant contributions to the field through professional presentations in national and international forums and conferences, and through publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals.

Academic Eligibility:

Students must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree from a college or university of recognized standing.
Students must achieve and maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
Students should have at least 18 credits of undergraduate psychology credit is required, which must include statistics and either abnormal psychology or personality.
Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE scores.
Students are required to submit the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores.

Indian Students Eligibility:

Students should submit required official and complete individual mark skeets for each examination attempt, including subsidiary exams.
Photocopies of student's mark sheets are accepted only when they are attested by the University Registrar or Controller of Examinations and placed in a sealed, stamped envelope that is sent directly to the Graduate School.

Receipt Number on Petition filed by U.S employer (I-129 form) if applying for a work visa.
Original Marks Sheet or Provisional certificates.
Evidence of sufficient funds in the bank account to ensure you can survive the duration of course in the USA.
Score sheet of standardized exams like IELTS (6.5 or equivalent), TOEFL, GMAT, GRE, etc.
Proof that the candidate will leave the country once the program is completed. A return air ticket to the home country can be evidence of this kind.
