• The Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice program makes students delve into the philosophy and structure of the American criminal justice system by examining the intersection between laws, enforcement agents, legal personnel, criminal offenders, victims, and average citizens.
  • Students will also study the individual and social causes of crime and the fundamentals of successful crime prevention programs.
  • Students will study the social, political, economic, and cultural forces that influence definitions of crime, explain offending and crime rates, sway societal reactions, influence policy, and shape the criminal justice system. 
  • In this program, students will be able to demonstrate basic knowledge of causes of crime and society’s response to crime, familiarity with research design, familiarity with descriptive statistics, the logic of inferential statistics, and the ability to think critically about crime and crime policy.
