- For Gujarat candidates, passed Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematic (PCM) with English as a compulsory subject from any statutory University / Gujarat Board/ other board in State or Examinations.
- The minimum marks requirement is 40 % for general candidates and 35% for SC/ST.
- For Outside Gujarat candidates, passed the qualifying examination and appeared in GUJCET.

- Admission is done on the basis of the Merit List.
- Merit list is prepared considering 60 % weightage of the marks obtained in the Theory Papers Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) subject and 40 % of the marks obtained in GUJCET or any other entrance test as notified by the State Government.
