Course Description

IILM University offers Doctor of Philosophy (full-time and part-time) programs offered by the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and School of Management in various specializations

The Ph.D. program is specialized in 7 subjects that include, Operational Behaviour, Economics, Psychology, Accountancy & Finance, Marketing, Organizational Behaviour, HR Management, Operations, & Psychology.
An M.Phil. degree or equivalent in the relevant subject is the minimum requirement to be eligible for Ph.D. admission.
Admissions are made on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the entrance test and interview.

IILM University Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have completed MPhil. Degree including course work with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade ‘B’ on UGC 7-point scale (or equivalent grade on point scale where the grading system is being followed). SC / ST / OBC (Non-Cream Level) / Candidates with different abilities and other categories may be allowed relaxation 5% marks as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.
A candidate whose M.Phil. Dissertation has been evaluated and Viva Voice is pending that may lead to admission to the Ph.D.

IILM University Ph.D. Admission Guidelines

The selection of candidates is made by a two stage process which consists of an entrance test and an interview in the subject area.

The entrance test will have two sections: (i) research methodology and (ii) relevant subject knowledge.

Candidates having M. Phil. Degree or equivalent degree from any other Institute or University recognized by UGC or qualified with fellowship /scholarship offered by the NET/GATE/University or National and International Agency will be exempted from the entrance test.

However such candidates need to appear for the interview, along with the candidates who qualified for the entrance test.

Ques. Is there any relaxation in the maximum duration of the Ph.D. program for women candidates at IILM University?

Ans. The women candidates and PWD candidates (more than 40% disability) are allowed to have a relaxation of two years for a Ph.D. in the maximum duration. Maternity Leave/Child Care Leave for up to 240 days are also available for women candidates.

However, you need to take the cost of the entire program into account. So either you need to be rich enough to afford this or you must be a good student with good academics so that you can lower your cost through scholarships. In comparison BIMTECH Greater Noida is relatively cheap with good college life, the quality of education is also good and you will get similar levels of opportunity to uncover your skills and talents.
