Course Description

BML Munjal University (BMU), Gurgaon is inviting applications for admission to its PhD program for the Winter Session 2023 (July). Interested candidates can apply online by submitting their applications at bmu.edu.in. The last date to apply is May 23, 2023.

To be eligible for BML Munjal University PhD Admission 2023, candidates need to have a master's degree in the required field with at least 55% marks or equivalent grades. Selection of applicants will be based on marks secured in the qualifying entrance exam followed by an interview conducted by the selection committee.

BML Munjal University offers a full-time and part-time PhD programs in more than 20 specializations. The full-time PhD is offered with a duration of three years and a limit of six years. The course duration for the part-time PhD program is four years. BMU PhD admission depends on GATE/UGC NET/GMAT/Written Test scores. The final selection of students depends on the entrance test scores and their performance in Personal Interviews. The university also offers a range of UG and PG courses.

Interested candidates need to satisfy the following criteria to be eligible for the PhD courses at BML Munjal University:

Master's degree of 2 years in the respective discipline with a minimum CGPA of 6 on a 10-point scale or equivalent as dictated by the university when the letter grades are granted; or 55% marks in total (in case of a percentage marking system).

BML Munjal University PhD Course Details

BML Munjal University offers both full-time and part-time PhD programmes in Engineering, Management and Law.

Duration: The full-time course is offered across 3 years and a limit of 6 years. The part time course is offered over 4 years.
Assessment: The progress of the research work is monitored by PhD supervisor(s). A School level committee and a university-level committee (URPC) are present to monitor the student’s progress on a systematic schedule basis. After submission of the thesis and completion of the review process by the reviewers, the candidate is required to defend his/her thesis before a PhD. Examination Committee. Upon satisfactory defence from the student’s side, the committee shall recommend the thesis for the award of a PhD degree.
PhD program structure: The PhD program at BML Munjal University has six major divisions- Prescribed Pre-PhD Course Work, Research Protocol Presentation, monthly progress review, Pre-Synopsis Report and Presentation, Submission of Thesis and PhD Defence and Final Viva-Voce.

My brother pursued his MBA from BML Munjal and as an average student like most of us, he had quite an exhilarating experience. His journey from transformation to securing a good placement makes me quite eligible to answer this question better on his behalf.

Infrastructure: You will not be disappointed at all because being one of the top private colleges in Delhi, NCR it has well-equipped classrooms and labs, a lush green campus, state-of-the-art hostels. Everything is perfect with a good learning environment.
Curriculum and faculty: These are some of the highlights of this institute. The faculty doesn’t only focus on imparting theoretical knowledge but also emphasizes the practical field. You will be subjected to training sessions, industry engagements through visits and events, lab exercises, internships, etc. with an aim to impart hands-on experience. Yes, the university keeps ups with their claim of spending at least 45% of their course duration on practicals.

BML Munjal University offers good infrastructure, facilities, and placements.

The program offered by the university is uniquely designed. The curriculum has a perfect balance between theoretical and practical learning. The course work also offers understanding of different disciplines. The traditional courses are restructured with new-age skills and technologies. The courses are multidisciplinary. A B.Com(Hons) student can specialize in Blockchain technology. Law aspirants can study BBA LLB (Hons) if they want to. This unique academic structure offers several career opportunities to students.
Through practice school, Munjal University helps students implement their classroom learning into practice. Students do practical work in groups or individually under the guidance of industry experts and faculty mentors.
