Course Details

CSJM offers a full-time Master of Physical Education (M.P. Ed.) for a duration of 2 years. Admission to the course is conducted via an entrance test followed by a physical test of the qualified students. The total intake of the course is 30 students. CSJM M.P.Ed admission 2022 application forms are yet to be released by the university. Application forms for admission can be filled online by visiting the official website of the university.

CSJM M.P.Ed Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the M.P. Ed. Course offered at CSJM University shall fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

Must have scored a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in B.P. Ed. /D.P. Ed. /B.P. E. /B.A. in Physical Education, or B.Sc. in Physical Education from a recognized university.
Must be physically fit.

CSJM M.P.Ed Admission Guidelines

The admission procedure of the M.P. Ed course offered at CSJM is in the following phases.

Eligible candidates will be called for the entrance test as organized by the University.
Test to be conducted for any games/sports as instructed by the candidate in the form.
Interview and viva for consideration of sportsperson.
The final selection of the candidates will be on the basis of all the above criteria.

Applicants can register themselves by filling the application form through both online and offline modes.

Online Mode

Visit the university website of CSJMU, Kanpur @kanpuruniversity.org.
Click on the university entrance exam link.
Fill in all the details in the application form.
Candidates have to submit the application fee of amount INR 600 (for general and OBC category candidates) and INR 400 (for SC/ST category candidates) through Credit card/Debit Card/Payment Gateway/Net banking
After filling in all the details in the form candidate can click on submit button.
Candidates are advised to take the printout of the filled-in application form

Offline Mode

CSJMU M.P. Ed Course Details

CSJMU, Kanpur offers Masters in Physical Education (M.P.Ed) course for a duration of two years which is divided into four semesters.

Prescribed Coursework

M.P. Ed. is a full-time post-graduation professional course in Physical Education.
Each Semester will consist of 17-20 weeks of academic work.
The odd semesters are scheduled from May/June to December/January and even semesters are scheduled from December/January to May/June.
The syllabus for the course shall consist of 16 theory papers including 3 Core courses and 1 Elective in each semester.
Four papers shall be offered in each of four semesters. Internals are also conducted by the departments.
The curriculum of M.P. Ed. Will also consist of Practicals, Field Training, Seminar, Internship project, and Dissertation.
Candidates must obtain at least 36% to be passed to the next semester or year.
The candidate has to fulfill a minimum of 75% attendance in class records. Strict rules have been applied to the students regarding attendance.
A candidate will be eligible for the award of M.P. Ed. Degree if he/she has completed the requirements of examinations successfully.

CSJM M.P.Ed Placements

The placement cell at CSJMU is very dedicated that aims to provide good job opportunities to its students. The cell has integration with corporate sectors and government agencies and invites them for placement of professional students. Besides, the placement cell prepares students for on-campus placement drives. It also organizes education and job fairs at the university level to assist students to find jobs.

Easy notes offer important questions and examination patterns but it would be advised to not rely on the answers or solutions given there. The answers are quite disappointing and irrelevant. You should rather prefer the general textbooks. However, if the exams are near, you cannot read the textbooks due to time constraints, in this case, you can go for easy notes. They can help you with 25% of your preparation. Select the important topics and look out for the video lectures on Youtube. It would be advised to buy and follow textbooks especially for Mathematics as the easy notes are not enough.

You should not join CSJM University for BCA as it will be very hard to maintain your academic score at 60% in this university. This also has exceptions if you have good relations with the university employees for any known reason. One of my friends is pursuing her BCA in Axis college Kanpur and her percentage is around 50% and it is quite hard to get any job without keeping to 60% in academics. It would be recommended to go to some other university. BCA from any recognized university will have some value, thus it is important to choose any college or university wisely.

Both colleges are well-known in their respective fields, and your choice will be depending on your requirements. Though, if you want to acquire a degree as a regular student, I would recommend Lucknow University, and if you want to get a correspondence degree, I would recommend CSJM University. Lucknow University has made 75 percent attendance mandatory for UG degrees, which is a wonderful step, but it has also proven to be a bane for working students. So, if you are working, I recommend Kanpur University, otherwise, go for Lucknow University. It also offers decent placement opportunities. The average CTC offered at the institute is 4 LPA. Lucknow University, while not the finest, but definitely superior to CSJM University.

You should think about the best option for your future security and worth. The CSJM placement cell does not put enough effort to offer placements for the students. As for placements, there are little to no placement opportunities for Biotechnology in India. It is a research-based subject. So, most job opportunities are in the R&D sector. But India doesn’t spend much on the R&D budget. That’s why there are not many Biotechnology companies. So, the placement for M.Sc Biotechnology at CSJM University, Kanpur is not good.
