Course Details

Banasthali University is consistently featured among Top Universities in India by NIRF, Outlook, QS etc ranking bodies. It is a women’s university which bagged 79th rank overall in NIRF 2020 rankings and 74th rank overall in QS 2020 rankings. The university offers an MCA program for a minimum duration of 2 years, admissions to which are based on the aptitude test conducted by the university itself. The application process for admissions to the MCA course for the academic year 2022-23 are coming to an end. Candidates interested can fill the application form on the official university website till May 15, 2022.

Banasthali University, Jaipur MCA Course Highlights

Banasthali University provides Master’s in Computer Applications for a duration of 2 years.
The course is offered as a full time regular course and is UGC approved.
Banasthali University charges around INR 3.05 Lakhs for its MCA program. Candidates are also subjected to various scholarship facilities on the basis of their merit and financial background.
The basic requirement in order to be eligible is a graduation degree with at least 60% aggregate marks.
Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in the Aptitude Test conducted by the university itself.

Banasthali University, Jaipur MCA Eligibility Criteria

Candidates interested in the MCA course at Banasthali University must satisfy the below mentioned eligibility criteria:

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institute with at least 50% aggregate marks.
Candidates with BCA/ B.Sc/ B.Com/ BA degree with Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 or graduation level are also eligible to apply.
Candidates seeking admissions under Foreign Nationals & NRI/NRI Sponsored quota need a graduation degree of a recognized institute with 40% aggregate marks.

Banasthali University, Jaipur MCA Admission Process

Banasthali University, Jaipur admits candidates based on their performance in aptitude test and marks in last qualifying examinations. Candidates who appear for the aptitude test and qualify it with a valid score will only be considered eligible for admissions.

Candidates admitted under Foreign Nationals & NRI/NRI Sponsored shall be exempted from appearing in the Banasthali University Aptitude Test.
Such candidates are offered direct admissions based on their marks in graduation degree. However, such candidates must produce the required documents at the time of admission.
Candidates who passed the last qualifying examinations from Banasthali University only with 50% (40% for SC/ST) aggregate marks are eligible to apply for the aptitude test.
The university then prepares a merit list on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the aptitude test and percentage credit points awarded by the university.
Shortlisted candidates need to deposit the required fee to confirm their seat in the MCA program.

Banasthali University, Jaipur MCA Entrance Exam

Banasthali University conducts its own entrance test for admissions to the MCA program. The exam is designed to evaluate the aptitude skills of the candidates.
The test comprises two sections, namely, Mathematics and Logical Reasoning.
Each section consists of 50 questions and the duration of the test is 150 minutes.
Candidates are required to attempt section A within the first 90 minutes and the rest time is given to attempt section B.
For every correct answer, candidates are awarded 1 mark whereas for every wrong answer, 1/4 mark is deducted.

Follow the steps below to apply for MCA at Banasthali University, Jaipur:

Program Structure

Course Structure: The course comprises the advanced subjects of computer applications. A project is mandatory for students in the 4th semester of the curriculum. Candidates are provided the opportunity to choose from the elective subjects as per their interest. Project, Dissertation & Seminar, Continuous Assessment and Viva-Voce are an integral part of the 6th semester.
Examinations: Internal and External examinations are conducted in each semester. Candidates must pass these examinations with required scores in order to be eligible for the award of degree.
Evaluation: Evaluation is done on the basis of candidate’s performance in internal assessments and external examinations. Additionally, class tests, projects, practicals, and viva-voce also contribute majorly to the evaluation process.

Ques. Is there any direct admission available for MCA at Banasthali University?

Ans. No, the university does not provide direct admissions to the MCA course. In order to be eligible for the course, you need to fill the application form and then an aptitude test will be conducted. On the basis of the test and your previous academic marks, you will get admission. You need to have completed a degree in BCA or equivalent degree with Mathematics as a subject in order to be eligible for the MCA course. Only women are allowed in this University.

My sister chose to pursue her graduation and post-graduation from Banasthali Vidyapith. She enjoyed all of the benefits of staying on campus, such as participating in extracurricular activities, being autonomous, and so on. Check the following points for a brief review of Banasthali University: In terms of academics, Banasthali University has a lot to offer. It is a strong contender in many of them - computer science, MBA, Home Science, Literature and Language, Social Sciences, Mathematics, and so on. It also has adequate sports facilities, but they can be improved. Banasthali University does not have separate coaches for many sports. The only thing that would bother you is the strength of the classrooms. At times, it will be completely unacceptable Banasthali VIdyapith fee structure is also inexpensive, despite any financial difficulties, you can easily cover the costs of most of the courses. Overall, Banasthali University offers a wonderful experience. Despite its flaws as an institution, it has many characteristics that make it wonderful and valuable.

Bansthali University offers a well-rounded campus experience. Situated in Tonk, Rajasthan it is the 2nd largest residential women's university in India. Weather during Summer is harsh. Days are hot and nights are quite cold. Bansthali has some set rules and regulations, that students need to follow. Instead of Sundays, Tuesdays are off. There are many extracurricular and sports activities that you can take part in like Athletics, Shooting, Aerobics, Gymnastics, Basketball, etc. You may struggle to adjust during your initial days, but eventually, you will grow to love campus life.

According to some of the reviews online, LNCT is regarded as one of Bhopal's top colleges, but Banasthali is Asia's finest institute. In terms of education, Banasthali is great. You will find a conducive academic environment here, but you will be cut off from the rest of the world. The placements are excellent at both LNCT and Banasthali. Because Banasthali is a women's university, this does not imply that it is less enjoyable and more strict. Students here have a fair share of fun too. Last but not least, in Banasthali, the CSE and IT departments are highly regarded in comparison to the other branches. Both IET Lucknow and Banasthali are very good colleges for CSE and offer very good facilities to its students. Having to know some people studying in both these colleges, I can share some details about them which might answer your question. In IET Lucknow, students get very good opportunities in terms of internships and placements. A lot of companies visit the campus for placements but they select a few deserving students. Make sure you have the knowledge and skills to secure placements. Banasthali is also a very good college to pursue CSE. The campus is very big and the hostels are well maintained. The placement scenario is better than IET. Many top companies like Microsoft, Goldman Sachs visit the campus for placement opportunities.
