Total Fees
₹ 3,050At Saurashtra University the grade point and marks are calculated according to the following.
Marks | 90-100 | 80-89 | 70-79 | 60-69 | 50-59 | 40-49 | 1-39 |
Grade | O | A | B | C | D | E | F |
Grade Point | 10 | 9 | 8 | 7 | 6 | 5 | 4 |
Let’s say in your first semester you have 6 subjects and each subject has 5 credits. In semester one you score marks like the following.
Now, in order to get SGPA, you will need to divide your Total Grade Point by Total Credit 225/30=7.50. So, your SGPA is 7.50.
Total grade point for two semesters is 225+195 = 420, and Total credit is 30+30 = 60.
So, your CGPA for two semesters will be 420/60 = 7.
Subjects | Grade | Grade Point |
Subject 1 | D | 30 |
Subject 2 | D | 30 |
Subject 3 | C | 35 |
Subject 4 | C | 35 |
Subject 5 | A | 45 |
Subject 6 | O | 50 |
Total | - | 225 |
Now, CGPA is the average of your degree. In this example, your SGPA for the 1st semester is 7.50. Let’s say in the second semester, your SGPA will be 195/30 = 6.50.

Yes, you can pursue it. There are several external students pursuing MBA along with the regular ones. There are quite a number of irregular students in the classes as well because they are occupied with their office work. They are permitted by the HOD and respective authorities.
In conclusion, you can most certainly opt for an external MBA Course from University. It is also a PGDBM (Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management).
