Course Description

Gujarat Technical University offers M.Pharm which is a two-year full-time on-campus program. The program is recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) as well as the All India Council for Technical Education also. University offers three master programs under the Pharmacy stream namely Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs, Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance, and Pharmaceutics. The minimum eligibility is to have a B.Pharm degree with 55% marks. The admission is based on GPAT/ GSET for Pharmacy. The application process is online.

Gujarat Technical University M.Pharm Eligibility Criteria

For getting admission in M.Pharm in GTU, candidates should have a degree in Bachelor of Pharmacy.
Candidates should have passed a Bachelor's degree with at least 55% marks from a recognized University.
A relaxation of 5% is given to SC/ ST and other economically backward classes.
Valid score card of Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT)/ GSET for Pharmacy.

Gujarat Technical University M.Pharm Admission Procedure

For getting admission in M. Pharm, a candidate needs to visit the official website of the University.
Candidates need to register themselves.
After confirming the registered email id and mobile no., the candidate needs to login again and fill the application form.
After completing the application form, the candidate will submit the application form along with the application fee.
After this procedure, the University will announce the cutoff or merit list.
Students who have cleared the cut off marks will become eligible for getting admission in M.Pharm program.

Are Gujarat University and Gujarat Technological University two different universities?

After doing some research online regarding your question, I found out about both the institutes. Let me share the facts I got to know about them.

Gujarat Technological University -

Gujarat Technological University situated in Ahmedabad came into existence in 2007.
The university has 486 colleges affiliated with it and it provides courses in the field of Science and Commerce.
It is headed by the state government.
You can look for management, pharmacy, and engineering courses in the college for graduation and post-graduation.

Gujarat University -

It is also located in Ahmedabad and is headed by the state government.
The grounds that it differs from GTU are the courses it has to offer.
It has courses related to Arts, Science, Commerce stream and lacks any engineering courses.

If we look at the placement factor, then surely GTU has better prospects than GU. The highest package offered was 3.45 LPA in 2020 in GTU.

Choose the one that suits you and fulfills your requirements. Ultimately it is your decision that matters.

It is not right to say Gujarat Technological University is not good. I have a few friends from GTU and according to them, GTU is quite good in terms of syllabus and teaching schemes.

However, your experience will also depend on the institute that you are choosing. The faculties at LD Engineering college and VGEC are very experienced and they also teach well.

It really comes down to how you are utilizing your years at the institute. Overall, GTU is decent and you will have good opportunities at the institute.

If you are absent from an examination at Gujarath Technological University (GTU), the marksheet will show that you haven’t cleared the examination. There’s no exception for medical emergencies. You need to visit the student portal of Gujarat Technological University, to apply for the transcripts. Go to Certificate request after logging in. Select the type of transcript, i.e. Transcript. Fill in the required details and make payment. You will get a delivery date of transcript. Visit GTU campus on the given date with the Online Transcript Certificate Request Receipt and the required documents.

It depends on the college you are choosing. But none of the colleges affiliated with Gujarat Technological University (GTU) are good for a Computer Science degree. Most students passing out with a CSE degree join mass recruiting companies. Very few good product based companies visit the university for placements.

For CSE, DAIICT, NIT Surat, or Nirma will be better in Gujarat. Otherwise, try to find a college outside of Gujarat.

Can we change the engineering branch and college in the 3rd year (5th semester) in Gujarat Technological University (GTU)?

Yes, it’s possible to apply for institute change in GTU, 2nd semester onwards. You can change from Govt. college to a self-financed college. You can also change from one self-finance college to another self-financed college. You will need a NOC from your college and submit it to the GTU office, to proceed with the transfer process.
