Gujarat Technology University B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be qualified with one of the following:

Candidates must have passed Std. 12 in Science from a single board with a minimum of 45%.
Candidates must have a minimum qualification as mentioned above from schools of a recognized board as stated in admission rules and must have appeared in GUJCET - 2020.
Candidates must have a minimum qualification as mentioned above from schools of any recognized board and must have appeared in JEE (Main).

Gujarat Technology University B.Tech Admission Guidelines

For Admission to Gujarat Technology University, students have to the following steps:
- Candidates must register themselves at the GTU admissions website at www.gujacpc.nic.in
- They have to fill in basic details like name, valid phone number, email and set up a new user ID with a password
- Candidates will have to verify to create an account.
- After creation, candidates must log in and apply to the BE/ B. Tech course
- Candidates must add in relevant details like their academic and personal details
- Candidates must add all their certificates, and scorecards to the account.
- Candidates must pay for the application via UPI/ Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking

Gujarat Technological University -

Gujarat Technological University situated in Ahmedabad came into existence in 2007.
The university has 486 colleges affiliated with it and it provides courses in the field of Science and Commerce.
It is headed by the state government.
You can look for management, pharmacy, and engineering courses in the college for graduation and post-graduation.

Gujarat University -

It is also located in Ahmedabad and is headed by the state government.
The grounds that it differs from GTU are the courses it has to offer.
It has courses related to Arts, Science, Commerce stream and lacks any engineering courses.

If we look at the placement factor, then surely GTU has better prospects than GU. The highest package offered was 3.45 LPA in 2020 in GTU.

Choose the one that suits you and fulfills your requirements. Ultimately it is your decision that matters.

It is not right to say Gujarat Technological University is not good. I have a few friends from GTU and according to them, GTU is quite good in terms of syllabus and teaching schemes.

However, your experience will also depend on the institute that you are choosing. The faculties at LD Engineering college and VGEC are very experienced and they also teach well.

It really comes down to how you are utilizing your years at the institute. Overall, GTU is decent and you will have good opportunities at the institute.

If you are absent from an examination at Gujarath Technological University (GTU), the marksheet will show that you haven’t cleared the examination. There’s no exception for medical emergencies. Visit GTU campus on the given date with the Online Transcript Certificate Request Receipt and the required documents.

It depends on the college you are choosing. But none of the colleges affiliated with Gujarat Technological University (GTU) are good for a Computer Science degree. Most students passing out with a CSE degree join mass recruiting companies. Very few good product based companies visit the university for placements.

For CSE, DAIICT, NIT Surat, or Nirma will be better in Gujarat. Otherwise, try to find a college outside of Gujarat.

Can we change the engineering branch and college in the 3rd year (5th semester) in Gujarat Technological University (GTU)?

Yes, it’s possible to apply for institute change in GTU, 2nd semester onwards. You can change from Govt. college to a self-financed college. You can also change from one self-finance college to another self-financed college. You will need a NOC from your college and submit it to the GTU office, to proceed with the transfer process.
