Delhi University M.Com admission 2024 for all affiliated colleges will be based on CUET PG scores. CUET PG 2024 registrations are open now and the last date to apply has been extended to February 07, 2024. Interested candidates can register online on the official website @pgcuet.samarth.ac.in. CUET PG 2024 exam will be held from March 11 to March 28, 2024. Candidates who clear the entrance exam are further required to register for seat allocation on the official admission portal of DU @admission.uod.ac.in. Seats will be allocated based on CUET PG scores through Delhi University’s Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS PG) portal. Check DU Admission 2024

Delhi University offers direct admission for DU students only with a minimum of 65% aggregate marks in graduation.
There are around 513 seats in the M.Com program.
Delhi University has been ranked 22^nd in the country by NIRF 2023.
There will be reservations for seats for the SC/ST/OBC/ PWD and other category students.
Candidates seeking admission to Delhi University M.Com are required to apply online at the official website of the varsity.
DU charges INR 40,000 - INR 1.2 Lakhs annually for its M.Com course offered at various affiliated colleges.

DU M.Com Eligibility Criteria

For admission into any domain of M.Com from Delhi University, the applicant:

Must possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject with a minimum of 65% aggregate marks.
Must have a qualified CUET PG exam.

DU M.Com Admission Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the M.Com program at Delhi University are required to appear for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET PG), conducted by NTA. Candidates who clear the entrance examination will be required to register on Delhi University’s admission portal. Provisional seat allotment will be done through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS PG) portal by Delhi University where candidates will be required to fill in college and department preferences. For the final selection, a merit list will be released by Delhi University based on CUET PG scores, college and department preferences, availability of seats, reservation criteria, academic qualifications, and other factors.

Admission to the PG program is done:

Merit-Based: 50% of the entire intake shall be filled by direct admission of Delhi University candidates only, based on merit.
Entrance Based: The remaining 50% of the seats are filled through an entrance examination and Interview or Group Discussion.

The entrance examination is followed by an Interview or Group Discussion round in a few courses, which carries a critical weightage (10-15% in most cases). For more information regarding PG programs admission, you can also go to the website of Delhi University PG Admission.

Note: The Admission & admission process of Jesus & Mary college & St. Stephen's college is distinct from the rest of DU-affiliated colleges. Candidates seeking admission to the institutes mentioned above' courses should contact the individual college for admission-related doubts.

The applicants can also get the application form from the DU website. All fields in the application form should be correctly and utterly filled in with the appropriate information.

How to Apply for DU M.Com?

Click on the desired application portal like DU PG Portal.
As a first-time user, the candidate should go to the "New Applicant Sign Up" to make the user account by clicking on the "New Registration" link.
Under the "Create New Account" page, the applicant should fill in all the required details.
Applicant should verify his/her email-id and Password as subsequently; it will be used for admission plans.
Finally, the applicant should click the "Register" button to generate a new user account.
A confirmation will be sent to the registered email account/mobile number upon creating the registration account.
Once registered, the candidate should log on to the PG admission portal to finish the online registration form.
Under the "Registered Applicant Sign In" tab, the applicant shall enter "registered email-id" as username and the "password."
Upon logging in, the applicant must complete the registration form by filling in the requisite details.

Note: There is no extra registration fee for applying to many courses. The applicant can also update information in the application form by revisiting the applicant’s account before the last date of registration but until the last date of the online registration fee payment.

Documents Required

Conduct Certificate and C.L.C. from the institution last attended.
Certificates and mark sheets of all examinations.
SC/ST Certificate from the accountable authority (MP / MLA / Collector / ADM / SDO / Local Gazetted Revenue Officer but not below Deputy Collector or Tahasildar) by applicants of those categories.
P.H. certificate physically challenged students and I.D. card issued by District Welfare Officer / Community Development Officer / Social Welfare Department of State Government) by the physically challenged applicants.
Sports and Games Certificate of participation are needed for quota, and special weightage consideration, from the qualified Authority (Director of Sports / Sports Council of the Delhi University), countersigned by the Principal / H.O.D. of the college/department by the applicants interested in applying under the said category.
Original application fee e-receipt.
Three passport-size photographs (one to be fixed in the application form and two more copies to be attached with the form).
Migration Certificate, if the candidate is not from Delhi University.

For an MCA, NIT Trichy will be better. It is known for its technical courses. NIT T will give you better learning opportunities for MCA. The institute offers hands-on learning opportunities. You will learn through assignments, presentations, tests, etc. NIT Trichy MCA placements are pretty good. Every year around 90-95% of students get placements from the branch. The highest CTC offered in the recent placement drive for MCA was INR 40 LPA.

JNU is a better option, especially for postgraduate degrees. JNU has a different aura altogether. The environment on campus is extremely accepting. You will meet people on campus who are intellectuals, readers, writers, and speakers. Simply being on JNU campus can be rewarding. It has a different culture entirely which motivates the holistic development of personality. JNU has an excellent faculty base. In financial terms as well JNU is a better option. The course fees and hostel fees are lower compared to DU. As per JNU University course fees, an MSc degree costs around INR 692.

To say, one of these is better than the other will be an oversimplification. You should choose BHU or DU based on the course you are interested in. Here is a streamwise comparison of DU and BHU. Arts - For English and Economics, DU is better. BHU courses are better for Sanskrit, Hindi, Geography, and Philosophy. For the rest of these subjects, these institutes are at a similar level. Science - BHU is slightly ahead for most of the science stream. Commerce - For commerce courses, DU is definitely better. Engineering - It won’t be fair to compare IIT BHU with DU. The former is way ahead of the latter. Management - FMS is a tier 1 B-School and arguably the best non-IIM school in the country. IMS BHU ranks nowhere near FMS. Law - For law degrees, DU has a slight advantage because of its location. Medical - IMS BHU is one of the best medical institutes in the country. Academics are more or less the same at BHU and DU. However, big names like St. Stephens, SRCC, LSR, etc. are a little ahead of BHU in terms of teaching quality. BHU offers better research facilities, especially for science courses. DU is way ahead of BHU in terms of corporate jobs and civil services. BHU offers a better campus experience compared to DU. But if we talk about location, choosing a metropolitan city, that too Delhi will be more advantageous. You will have greater exposure and opportunities. If you are getting into one of the top colleges at DU. You should go for it. If you are getting an average college, it’s still better to prefer DU for Commerce, Economics and English. BHU science faculty is good. If you are interested in a Science degree, you can choose BHU.
