Getting a seat at Andhra University is very difficult. You must have a good score in AP EAMCET. General category students should score at least 40 out of 160 to be considered qualified. But if you want a safe score to get accepted into the university, you need a minimum of 110–120 marks to get any branch of Engineering at Andhra University.

Analyze the previous year’s ranks and cut off marks for getting admission in AU. If you want to study engineering like ECE, CSE, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, etc. then you have to score good marks because the competition at Andhra University will be high.

Andhra University EAMCET Cut off 2021 for a few popular courses includes – B.Tech CSE Opening Rank – 293; B.Tech Chemical Engineering Opening Rank – 2315; BE Civil Engineering Opening Rank – 1952.

One of my friends graduated from Andhra University. According to him, it is very reputed among students as well as professionals. But like every other institution, it also has its fair share of positives and negatives. Let me share them with you which you can analyze later on.

Pros:

  • It is one of the oldest universities in the country, hence has a great alumni network.
  • The student intake in each department is 30-60, which benefits the student-teacher interaction.
  • Each department has its own dedicated library consisting of several books, magazines, journals, and other study materials.
  • The campus is huge, covering 600 acres.
  • They have the biggest sports ground. Students are also provided with a gym and basketball court.
  • The entire campus is wifi enabled.

Cons:

  • The placements are average. The number of companies visiting the college has gradually decreased.
  • The lab equipment is not well maintained or upgraded.
  • Andhra University follows the age-old curriculum with little to no changes.
  • Students are told to put more emphasis on theoretical learning than practical.
  • Exams are mostly based on theories rather than practicals.

Overall, it is an above-average institution. It may not be like the IITs or NITs but still works well. It is suggested that you opt for this only if you have missed the opportunity to study in the IITs or NITs.

  • Hand your documents there, once verified,  proceed for the payment of the transcript application fee.
  • Keep the soft copies of all the attachments to be attested, these must be uploaded while proceeding for payment.
  • After payment, get the receipt and hand over the attachments with it to the PA of the Registrar.
  • The Registrar office will verify the payment and post stamps on them.
  • Then, it will be sent to the examination cell where they get verified for authenticity.

The placements for MBA at Andhra University are good when compared to engineering. However, do not expect a package of more than 5 LPA.

You should be well prepared for the online exam conducted from the first semester itself. The rounds involve - Online test, a Technical round, and afterward an HR round.

You are advised to prepare for aptitude well. One of the recommended books would be Arun Sharma Quant’s book for CAT for the online examination. Try to solve LOD 1 and LOD 2 and learn advanced excel for the technical round. It would be advised to clear the basic concepts of their stream of study.

Other good companies visiting the campus for hiring are Bajaj, Innova source, Spinco, IBM, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, Mu sigma, etc.

According to the reviews online, I found out that, AU by all means is better than GITAM University, here's an exposition, as to why-

  • Academics: AU offers quality education compared to GITAM. You will also have plenty of time to participate in extracurricular activities, which have their value too. Not only this, but AU also offers exchange programs.
  • Location: AU is in the centre of the city and on one side it has the RK beach. AU is 2kms away from the bus station and 3–4 kms from the railway station.
  • Faculty: Sometimes AU professors allow scholars to take a class, which is not great. But the main faculty is really highly experienced.
  • Campus: With a 350- 400 acres campus and buildings, gyms, stadiums, 2 grounds, and labs with equipment for research and practicals, AU can be said to have a nice campus.
  • Placements: As for placements, GITAM has an upper hand, with packages ranging from INR 3 LPA to INR 6 LPA. But AU will provide students with the proper exposure, enough for them to secure good job offers.

Osmania University is historical! OU is not only about placements or quality of education, but also about the value of that education you get during your study there.

You learn about the life, relations, and friends from different backgrounds and cultures. You'll have a broader perspective on social life, you will realize your good fortune on being here. Osmania University is probably one of the reasons for Telangana's achievements.

OU is in the centre of Hyderabad city, and beats many other private colleges located in far-off locations. There are many great places to hang out with friends, and the alumni are unparalleled. Don't miss a chance at experiencing the best!
