• Biomedical Science is at the forefront of pioneering advances in medicine. In their leading-edge biomedical laboratory facility set in the heart of the historic campus, students will explore this vibrant field, joining their Biosciences group – rated 6th in the UK for overall student satisfaction by the Guardian League Table 2020.
  • Student’s first year on the course will introduce the essentials of anatomy, physiology, cells, infection, immunity, biochemistry, microbiology, and genetics. While developing a grounding in these key topics, students will be well supported in their transition to studying Biomedical Science at university and be given personal access to the Fundamentals of Biomedical Science book series.
  • This course is also offered full-time which can be completed in 3 years.

  • The 4th year of the course is the placement year where students can apply what they have learned on their degree to a real working environment.
