• From lifestyle, fashion, music, and sports magazines to newspaper supplements, students will develop key magazine production skills, including design, marketing, and business strategy. Students will learn journalism skills, such as feature writing and video production with a focus on both digital and print, including online magazines and publications for tablets.
  • This is a new degree designed, developed, and taught by practicing magazine and media professionals. Students will develop practical skills and an in-depth understanding of the most recent industry trends – preparing them for a rewarding graduate career.
  • Students will benefit from connections with magazine publishers like Immediate Media, the home of more than 60 brands including Radio Times, Top Gear, BBC Music Magazine, and Good Food.
  • Students will learn practical magazine journalism and production skills like feature writing and multimedia production. Students will use Mac computers and the latest industry software in the University of Gloucestershire’s state-of-the-art newsrooms and studios.
  • In student’s final year they have the option of doing an academic dissertation or an extended practical project. Students will also complete a work placement as part of their degree, giving them essential industry experience.
