The University of Chester is ranked in the top 20 in the UK for Geography (Guardian University Guide 2021). The BSc Geography course received 100% student satisfaction in the 2020 National Student Survey and is accredited by the Royal Geographical Society.
The course allows students to specialize in a range of physical geography sub-disciplines, with opportunities to study elements of human geography if that suits their interests. We provide opportunities for travel to a variety of fieldwork destinations in the UK and abroad (e.g. Norway, Spain), plus virtual fieldwork, which will enhance their understanding of places and spaces.

Academic Eligibility:

Students are required to submit their higher school transcripts.
Students are required to have a Diploma, to include 45 credits at level 3, 30 of which must be at Merit.

Indian Eligibility:

Senior Secondary School Certificate/Higher Secondary School Certificate awarded on completion of Standard XII with an overall grade of 60% or above (and 60% in a specific subject, if required) from the following boards:
- Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)
- Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE)
- International General Certificate of Secondary Education ( IGCSE)
- National Institute of Open School
Senior Secondary School Certificate/Higher Secondary School Certificate awarded on completion of Standard XII with an overall grade of 65% or above (and 65% in a specific subject, if required) from the following boards:
- Punjab
- Haryana
- Uttar Pradesh
- Bihar
- Chhattisgarh
- Gujarat
- Jharkhand
- Rajasthan
- Uttarkhand
3 Year Diploma (from a State Board of Technical Education) with an overall grade of 60% or above.

Non- Native Students are required to submit their English Proficiency Scores.
