• Studying History helps students to acquire the skills that employers value, such as critical thinking, teamwork, communication skills, information handling and original thinking.
  • In Year 1, students will have the opportunity to gain the skills necessary for studying history, historical debates, and the philosophy of history.
  • In Year 2, students will have a choice of optional modules and the opportunity to undertake a research project.
  • In Year 3, they will have the opportunity to write a dissertation and have a choice of optional modules analysing historical problems through primary sources.
  • Students will be taught through a combination of lectures, seminars, and tutorials, delivered in lecture theatres, teaching rooms, and departmental offices on the Parkgate Road Campus.
