• The BA (Hons) Textile Design degree at UCA Farnham will inspire students to indulge their desire to design and make individual textiles for art, architecture, fashion, interiors, lifestyle, and luxury.
  • In this course students will work with experienced academics, technical staff, and visiting lecturers, drawing on a wealth of knowledge and skill as they explore and refine their own craft. Y
  • Students will work on real-world collaborations, projects, and exhibitions, with an opportunity to undertake a work placement.
  • Along the way, students will learn traditional skills through a combination of experimental craft techniques, and they will have access to a range of textile equipment, as well as yarn and cloth dyeing labs, chemical mixing rooms, and specialist finishing areas.
  • Some of the graduates have gone on to work for high-profile designers and manufacturers including Burberry, Paul Smith, Jaeger, Zoffany, and David Linley. Others have set up their own businesses and become designer-makers, textile artists, academics, and researchers.
