A unique blend of digital design and technology in the context of branding, this Digital Design and Branding course at Brunel University London aims to fill a gap, by developing your knowledge and practical experience of both digital design and branding concepts.

You will also gain a deep understanding of digital media technologies and research methods, and complete a dissertation that involves the full design cycle.

Aims

Digital media and the internet are having a big impact in the way brands behave, interact and speak.

As these technologies continue to develop in terms of functionality, availability and speed, even greater opportunities will arise for those individuals who are able to combine traditional marketing insight with a true understanding of digital media, capturing these benefits and articulating them at both an academic and vocational level.

The course fully prepares students to work in digital design agencies and in the client-side branding and marketing departments, enabling them to provide digital branding solutions in modern, effective and innovative ways. As a result, graduates could be expected to enter one of the following roles:

  • Visual/graphic designer
  • UX designer
  • Web designer
  • Creative director
  • Brand manager.

The course also prepares students to carry out related academic research. A number of students in various disciplines within the College have stayed on to carry out a PhD at Brunel. On average, one student of high academic achievement per year is offered a PhD position.

At Brunel we provide many opportunities and experiences within your degree programme and beyond Ð work-based learning, professional support services, volunteering, mentoring, sports, arts, clubs, societies, and much, much more Ð and we encourage you to make the most of them, so that you can make the most of yourself.
