If you work or want to work at an operational, managerial or strategic level in public health, this course is ideal. If you currently work in a public health role you can gain academic credit for work based learning in the Public Health Practice elective.

Networking opportunities Beyond the course, you have access to a wide range of developmental and professional events in the department and the wider university as well as volunteering and employment agencies. In addition, you're also supported to find work experience and are well supported by a comprehensive suite of career management services including interview training and networking opportunities.

Rather than a traditional lecture and seminar format, a variety of learning and teaching methods are used with an emphasis on peer learning and class participation. The course is taught by relatively small team and draws on guest speakers from a range of public health roles which may include GPs, Community Health Workers, policy makers and public health practitioners.
