Learn about molecular and cell biology before apply this knowledge to specific problems, undertaking an investigation into diagnostic procedures and other areas including research of relevance to biosciences in clinical, industrial and academic environments.
You develop practical laboratory skills both in taught and research environments, with taught modules including a mixture of lectures and tutorials with a significant amount of laboratory time. Other modules are tutorial-led with considerable input from the course leader, who acts as personal tutor. Each year the course team reviews course, and its suitability to meet the needs of its students and employment in the sector.
