Develop a broad understanding of all three sciences and cultivate depth in your specialist subject, whilst gaining the practical experience and theory you need to teach effectively. You graduate with Qualified Teacher Status, a requirement for teaching in English and Welsh schools, ready to inspire the next generation in a subject with a national shortage of qualified teachers.
This course encourages the application of your scientific and teaching knowledge in real settings. You undertake 24 weeks placement across two or more secondary schools, reinforced by diverse and enriching lessons from our highly experienced science and education tutors. You acquire a specialist knowledge of science, and the rounded expertise required to effectively teach it.
