This course offers you an exciting opportunity to become a fully qualified mental health nurse. It is challenging yet fun, and encourages you to develop your nursing skills in a friendly and supportive environment.
Your learning will be facilitated through modules that focus on the Nursing and Midwifery Council's (NMC) competencies and essential skills. Practice learning is an essential component of pre-registration nursing curriculum and takes up 50% of your learning.
Nurses are an integral part of a multidisciplinary team and you study partly alongside students from other health disciplines, such as social workers, radiographers and physiotherapists. This allows you to develop team-working skills and understand the contribution of different professionals to patient care.
