Train in specialist facilities accredited by the British Council. Become a qualified languages educator and take the Trinity College London Certificate in TESOL. In the fifth year you train in the School of Education to gain nationally-recognised primary and secondary teaching status in your main foreign language.

Work with fellow students to develop skills in key areas including foreign languages, language systems and acquisition, approaches to teaching English to speakers of other languages and how to apply this to your classroom practice. You study a second language as well as German: French, Spanish, or Italian (the last at beginner level only). For the fifth and final year of your course you will complete at least 120 days of school-based experience leading to QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), delivered by the School of Education.
