Geographical Information Systems (GIS) are now a major component of information technology and if students are interested in pursuing a career in this innovative, exciting field, our MSc Geographical Information Systems (GIS) degree course will give them the tools to succeed.
In this MSc Geographical Information Systems degree course, students will learn practical GIS skills using the same software tools employed by professionals in the field.
Students will analyze spatial data through their own project work and build on their previous geographical studies, creating distinctive methods of data analysis, algorithms and software tools.
Once students graduate, they will be well placed to pursue a career as a geographical information science specialist within the local and national government, health authorities, environment and conservation organizations, or in university-based research.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Applicants must hold a good honors degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
A GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 is required to be eligible for the program.
A second class honors degree or equivalent in Geography, Geology, Earth Science, Applied Geology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
Professional experience in a relevant area and other qualifications may be taken into consideration for applicants not meeting this requirement.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Students must complete an undergraduate degree with first-class in a relevant field from a highly ranked university in India.
Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Bachelor's degree with 60% to 70% overall depending on the institution.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
