Dealing with mental health problems is challenging for both the patient and their carers, and as evidence shows that one in four people will struggle with mental health issues at some point during their life, itÕs a rapidly expanding area of nursing that needs competent and caring professionals.
Specifically designed to give you a solid grounding in the theoretical and professional skills needed to offer high-quality nursing care that meets the needs of clients, service users and their families, this course will ultimately teach you how to enable, educate, and encourage those experiencing mental health problems to progress towards recovery.
Practical experience takes a central role in the course, completed in a variety of healthcare environments. As part of your 2,300 hours of placement youÕll take part in the full cycle of care which includes shift working, weekends and night duty.
