In Year 1, you will learn about the fundamentals of business and management within an international business context. You also have the opportunity to study one of the many different languages offered at Oxford Brookes University, which could contribute up to a quarter of your degree credits.
On this Business Management, International course you will develop the skills necessary to prepare you for your future career. It doesnÕt matter if you havenÕt studied A-level Business Studies because the Foundations of Business module will provide the necessary grounding for the study of business. During the course you will also study economics and accounting.
In Year 2 and your final year you will focus on international management, critical thinking and international strategic enquiry, including such issues as how decisions are made in culturally diverse organisations, how resources are allocated to ensure success, and the challenges of long-term economic and environmental sustainability.
The course culminates in the International Business Consultancy project. You will be able to consolidate and enrich your understanding of international business practice and incorporate an internationally based business project undertaken during the inter-semester gap. The project will take place either at one of our international partners or, for students who are unable to go abroad, in an international but UK-based setting.
