You could find yourself working in a range of roles in the community, education, voluntary or health sectors. We have seen our graduates collaborate with South African communities to share their stories and our students create performance-based programmes for social workers.
During the course you will complete several modules including performance in context, facilitation and entrepreneurship, guided by experienced lecturers who have worked directly in a variety of community settings Ð from hospitals and schools to community centres and museums to prisons.
Our on-campus theatre will give you regular access to a professional space and our touring sound and lighting rig will enable you to take your work right into the heart of our communities. Add to that our partnerships with social and artistic organisations and you may find that, like our current students, your skills are in demand long before you graduate.
Mix this course with your energy and the power of theatre and you could change somebodyÕs life. Whether itÕs communicating a social issue through drama, building confidence through performance or using humour to help patients, this subject can set you up for a truly rewarding career.
