• In both programs, students study the central aspects of evidence-based medicine and research and apply these to their specific area of practice or clinical specialty with the aim of enhancing the quality of their individual clinical practice and broader service delivery. Students study three core modules.
  • A number of modules are shared with other master’s level programs giving many opportunities to mix with students on other programs and share experiences (both academic and professional). The emphasis is on the integration of theory and clinical practice within a multi-professional working and learning environment.
  • The programs offer a structured and logical progression to learning, with a firm link to specialist area of practice. Students develop an ability to understand how evidence is generated, retrieved, evaluated, and importantly, employed within the practice.
  • The Evidence-based program, offered by Teesside University, enhances inter-professional learning and directs the focus of learning toward evidence-based clinical decision making. This is in line with the Government’s policy visions to develop evidence-based driven professional practice.
