We are seeking students who have demonstrated ability, potential and self-motivation, and have a genuine interest in learning about the tourism industry and the challenges of this fascinating sector.
The course will develop your business management acumen and focus on key themes such as information and management systems, financial analysis, and marketing. You will also gain the transferable and cognitive skills necessary for lifelong personal and professional development.
The course focuses on the business of tourism Ð its role in post-industrial economies, the business inter-relationships between destinations, modes of travel, hotels and visitor attractions, and the crucial role of marketing and management in successful tourism enterprises.
We have close links with partner universities in Australia, the USA, Hong KongÊand Malta, and the course takes an international perspective, including a field trip in each year of study.
The course is modular, comprising core and option modules, with ever greater module choice as you progress through the course.ÊThis enables you to specialise and create your own course pathways. Learning and teaching takes place in a number of ways, including lectures, seminars, tutorials, private study, individual and group project work, and field trips and study visits. Assessment includes examinations and tests, presentations, individual essays, coursework, and individual and team projects.Ê

Our dedicated Career Development Centre is actively working with an ever-expanding network of over 3,000 employers to provide you with exceptional employability support and guidance. As a result we were nominated as finalists for a significant industry award Ð the NUE Awards Most Improved Commitment to Employability 2016.
We provide our students with work placements and international opportunities to support them in becoming highly employable, globally engaged graduates, and with one million businesses operating within 20 miles of the University of Westminster, over 84% of our students are in work or further study six months after graduation. Our graduates work in a variety of sectors and organisations, from small/medium-sized companies and start-ups to large not-for-profit organisations and corporates.
During your time at Westminster you will be able to use our comprehensive online vacancy service and meet with our experienced careers consultants, providing you with thorough training and support on CV writing, application forms, interview preparation and assessment centres.
