You'll focus on both practical and theoretical aspects of management in organisational and project-based contexts. Management subjects are supplemented by advanced financial appraisal techniques and finance, law is specifically related to construction and development.
This course at meets all Continuing Professional Development requirements and provides evidence for upgrading professional institution membership. The afternoon/evening study mode is suitable for even the busiest of construction professionals and is an excellent opportunity to network with other ambitious professionals and their organisations.

Employment prospects are excellent. Successful students enter a variety of roles in client organisations, professional practices, local authorities, housing associations and major contracting companies.
On the course you'll develop of a number of transferable skills in oral and written communications, analytic thinking and research skills, as well as advanced IT.
The department has recently set up a Building Information Modelling (BIM) Centre to provide a research and enterprise facility linking the University with industry. It is designed to foster knowledge creation and exchange in BIM by connecting staff and students with practitioners in an increasingly interdisciplinary world.
