• Master of Research in Plastic Electronic Materials at Imperial College London is a 1-year program.
  • It is an on-campus, 90 credits program offered on a full-time basis.
  • This course provides a foundation in the science and application of plastic electronic materials and offers practical training in diverse areas including microscopy, device fabrication, and molecular modeling.
  • The MRes course also offers practical training in diverse areas including microscopy, printing and processing, device fabrication, and molecular modeling.
  • There are four core compulsory lecture modules in the first term:
    • Molecular and polymer chemistry
    • Materials science applied to macromolecular materials
    • Optoelectronic processes and modeling
    • Device physics and applications of electroactive materials
  • Students will undertake two advanced modules during the second term:
    • Structural, optical, and electrical characterization of molecular materials
    • Design and processing of molecular materials
  • Students also have to complete a substantial research project, which is written up into a thesis.
