• Master of Research in Biomedical Research - Data Science at Imperial College London is a 1-year program.
  • It is an on-campus, 90 credits program offered on a full-time basis.
  • The program provides an excellent background in biomedical research and will integrate chemical, biological, and physiological aspects in a unified approach.
  • The course is made up of a general stream and a number of specialist streams.
  • Over 12 months, students complete two 5-month research projects (4.5 days per week) and a core program (0.5 days per week) including grant writing, technical workshops, journal clubs, and transferable skills.
  • Students will acquire an understanding of modern molecular and cell science in world class biomedical research laboratories through both theory and practical exposure.
  • Students have the option to choose a general biomedical research stream or one of eight specialisms in the following areas:

    • Bacterial Pathogenesis and Infection
    • Data Science (this stream)
    • Epidemiology, Evolution, and Control of Infectious Diseases

  • MRes in Biomedical Research is designed for students looking to pursue a career in biomedical research, whether in academia, industry, or government.
  • Students get the opportunity to continue on to PhD study.
