Who is it for?

This Mathematics with Finance and Economics (Hons) course from City, University of London is aimed at mathematics students with a particular interest in financial and economic theory.

Objectives

This course provides students with an understanding of mathematics and aspects of financial and economic theory such as financial markets, corporate finance or micro- and macroeconomics.

This course is designed to provide a fundamental understanding of mathematics, finance and economy and focuses on the application of mathematical theory to financial and economic problems. All modules are taught by specialists from the Department of Mathematics, the Cass Business School and the Department of Economics.

You will have the opportunity to take a paid one year placement after your second year. You have the opportunity to undertake a one-year paid placement scheme. Placements are paid up to £25,000 pro rata per year, with some organisations choosing to exceed this.

City graduates are highly sought after in many different roles and many of our graduates secure careers in the financial sector.
