The Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry at Birkbeck, University of London offers the opportunity to complete a research project in college research laboratories, with constant contact between staff and students which creates opportunities for you to comment on, and take responsibility for, the direction of students studies. Alternatively the project may be completed at students place of work if appropriate.

This course will develop students knowledge and understanding of key areas of analytical science and its practical applications, advance  students understanding of recent advances in the field and equip you with the skills to formulate a research or method development plan, and carry out the appropriate literature and data searches. Students will also learn how to carry out chemical manipulations, operate advanced analytical equipment, and work safely and efficiently in a laboratory.
