Students will develop a broad understanding of accounting, finance and management, with detailed knowledge of finance, accounting practices, strategic management, marketing, managerial economics and quantitative techniques.

The Accounting and Management with Finance programme at Birkbeck, University of London is designed to create an optional pathway for the quantitative-minded students on our BA Accounting and Management programme, thus allowing them to gain the 'with Finance' title in their degree. It is an academically rigorous programme with emphasis on the accounting, management and finance disciplines.

This programme attracts students from both the public and private sectors, including administrators, clerical workers and managers, as well as the self-employed. Because it is taught entirely by evening study, students are able to combine students academic studies with daytime commitments.

The majority of our students work or care for a family, so students will be learning with people from a wide range of backgrounds and with a wide range of experiences. This creates a stimulating and supportive learning environment. College tutorial/seminar sessions give students a chance to interact with their peers and develop insights into analysing and interpreting a wide and varied subject matter.
