This degree is based on freedom of choice and will equip you with a broad understanding of biological sciences. Without the need to specialise in one particular area, you will be able to select modules from any of the areas we teach: biochemistry; genetics; microbiology; neuroscience; physiology and pharmacology, and zoology.

Certain modules later on in the course require you to have taken relevant foundation modules in earlier years. This ensures that you steadily progress through certain topics and gain advance knowledge in the areas that interest you.

If you perform at a first-class level in your first year, you will be able to apply for consideration for a transfer to the first year of Medicine programme.
