In this Nutrition course at Leeds Beckett University, they will learn how to become a critically reflective practitioner in this science-based course and gain practical experience in our state-of-the-art health science and catering laboratories. They will undertake work-based placements where they will be able to apply their expertise and refine their practical skills and they will have the option of undertaking a sandwich placement in year three.

Students will develop group skills by delivering their own nutrition awareness event, and throughout the course, they will learn skills that are appealing and desirable to employers.

Careers

This course is accredited by the Association for Nutrition (AfN) and is recognized as a valuable science-based degree. Upon graduation, students will be eligible to apply to be registered associate nutritionists with the AfN. Our graduates work as nutritionists and health advisors in a wide variety of sectors, including the food industry, in product development and marketing, within public health, in research, and for major supermarkets.
