On this course, which is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, students will examine complex environmental health problems and learn how to formulate effective solutions. These solutions could involve enforcement, education or the issuing of advice while working in partnership with other agencies. They will be taught by environmental health practitioners experienced in key areas such as food safety and health and safety.
Students will study food safety, health and safety, housing, environmental protection and public health. They will be taught in our state-of-the art science laboratories and acoustic facilities - this hands-on learning approach will allow them greater interaction with their lecturing staff and a greater understanding of the subject matter.
Careers
The real-life case studies students will explore will give them practical experience of the industry, boosting their employability so they can hit the ground running in their new job. Many of our graduates go on to work in environmental health departments as enforcement officers or in the private sector working for organisations such as supermarkets or hotel chains.
