To broaden your industry knowledge the course team also arrange regular personal development sessions. These are generally provided by leading industry professionals and will assist you in choosing an appropriate area of civil engineering to enter on graduation. We also have close links with the Institution of Civil Engineers and host a number of regional events for you to attend.

Careers

As a graduate engineer, you could work for consultants, contractors, local authorities or government agencies. You will be able to contribute to the design, construction and maintenance of a variety of infrastructure projects. You could also specialise in areas such as structures, transportation, water supply and treatment or power generation and supply. Should you want to further your studies, you could progress on to an accredited technical postgraduate course.
