Your legal studies will be enhanced by your understanding of criminology as you explore current responses to crime and develop your understanding of current and past legislation.

This at Êoffers the opportunity to take a ÔsandwichÕ year Ð a year of paid employment in industry which will build your skills and experience. This is usually taken between the second and third year of your degree, typically making your course four years in total. Students who choose the sandwich route find it helps with both their studies and getting a job after graduation. It can build your confidence, contacts, and of course your CV. This course is a qualifying law degree and so will allow you to undertake further training to qualify as a solicitor or barrister, or as a legal executive if you choose to complete the CILEx modules in your final year. You will also have the knowledge and skills to enter the police force and other arms of the criminal justice system.
