In this course at students will gain insight into user requirements, economic, environmental, and ethical considerations, as well as materials, manufacturing, production, and industry capabilities which will help inform the design of their products. They will design a range of products for both commercial and domestic use, including furniture, interior products, consumer goods, and sustainable products.
Careers
Student's course will shape their career, giving them the creative, technical, research, design, and presentation skills needed to work as a product designers across a wide range of industries. They could go on to work in a design studio, for a consultancy, as a product designer for an organization, or they could offer their services as a freelance designer. Alternatively, they may choose to set up their own studio or progress onto postgraduate study in the UK or overseas.
