The Waste and Resource Management programme is offered at University of the West of Scotland.ÊThe global market in environmental goods and services is currently worth about £3 trillion. Global investment attracted by Ôgreen technologiesÕ for electrical power generation recently exceeded that for coal and natural gas. This area is being actively promoted in the UK and Scottish context for economic development.
The programme develops core skills in the management of resources, coupled with an understanding of technologies that enhance the sustainable use of natural resources and minimise the environmental impact of economic activities, exploiting value from industrial process by-products and waste materials.
