• Bachelor of Science in Data Science at Coventry University is a 3-year program.
  • It is an on-campus honours program offered on a full-time basis.
  • This program is also offered on a full-time basis for a duration of 4 years and a sandwich program for both 3 and 4 years.

  • Students will have opportunities to work with staff on real-world problems from industry, commerce, and research groups, as they would in professional practice. 
  • This course will be assessed using a variety of methods that could vary depending upon the module.
  • Assessment methods include formal examinations, coursework, tests, group work, and practical work, for example, presentations.
  • Students get the opportunities to access modern computing facilities, which enable them to gain experience using mathematical software packages, like MAPLE and MATLAB®.
  • In a typical teaching week, students will have up to 15-19 contact hours of teaching divides as:
    • Personal tutorial/small group teaching: 1 hour of personal academic tutorial each week, 1 hour of individual project supervision (in year 3) per week.
    • Medium group teaching: 6-12 hours of tutorials, laboratories, and studio sessions each week.
    • Large group teaching: 6-12 hours of lectures each week.
  • There are opportunities for students to apply for summer research internships.
  • This program has a strong portfolio of industrial research collaborations with, for example, the National Energy Laboratory, Calham Centre for Fusion Energy, and Alcan.
