Course offers two possibilities for their year abroad. The first allows applicants to study at one of the prestigious universities with which they have exchange links.
-
Applicants continue to study modules relevant to their course, learning their chosen languages within a country that speaks them.
-
The second option allows them to work as a language assistant, thereby acquiring valuable professional experience in an international context in addition to earning money.
-
Whichever option they choose, their year abroad allows them to experience other cultures and languages, to broaden their degree socially and academically, and to demonstrate to employers that they are mature, adaptable, and organized.
-
If applicants spend a full year abroad they'll only pay 15% of their usual tuition fee to Essex for that year.
