The first year of the MArch – the year of education in practice – is spent predominantly in architectural practice. It includes three short courses held in the School and has a modular structure of associated coursework.
The second year of the MArch is spent full-time in the School and takes students to an advanced level of architectural design.
It offers an intense and lively forum for the exploration and discussion of issues in contemporary architecture and also includes courses in building economics and professional practice.
It satisfies Part 2 of the UK professional qualification for architects, and is approved by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the Architects Registration Board (ARB).

Academic Eligibility:

Typically, students will need to have either:

a 2:1 honors degree in BSc Architectural Studies awarded by Cardiff University
a RIBA Part I recognized qualification from your first degree with 2:1 honors
or an equivalent qualification that carries an exemption from Part I of the RIBA.
Students must be qualified in IELTS, TOEFL, and PTE to get admission to this program.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Students will need successful completion of a relevant bachelor's degree from a recognized institution, with grades of approximately 55%-60% to qualify for the postgraduate courses.
Some schools will also require the successful completion of a relevant master's program from a recognized institution.
The Indian Standard XII English qualification from the following examination boards are accepted with a minimum score of 70%:
- Andhra Pradesh/Telangana Board of Intermediate Education
- Central/Goa Board of Secondary Education
- Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, ICSE / ISC
- Government of Kerala Board of Higher Secondary Examination
- Government of Karnataka Department of Pre-University Education
- Board of Secondary Education, Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal
- Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education
- Gujarat/Punjab/ Rajasthan/Bihar/Meghalaya Board of School Education
- Board of High School and Intermediate Education Uttar Pradesh
- National Institute of Open Schooling.
