• The University has developed the Master's course to make sure they develop highly relevant skills that you can apply in the widest range of settings.
  • Some of the most important skills they will need to succeed in hospitality and tourism are soft skills such as customer handling, teamwork, problem-solving and oral communication skills.
  • The course will help you to develop all of these and more. There’s a focus on management skills which will position them well for higher-level roles in hotels, tourism, and hospitality management. From September 2018, all full-time students can now undertake a 10-week work placement as an alternative to the postgraduate major project giving them the invaluable experience to help them achieve their career goals.
  • As well as hospitality and tourism, they will draw on knowledge from the fields of general business studies and marketing, placing great emphasis on the practical application of concepts so that you can be sure they are developing real skills as well as theoretical understanding. Studying in Cambridge, a renowned tourist destination, will be able to hone your natural abilities and prepare you for the next stage of your career.
  • During the course there will be opportunities to go on a field trip as part of the Contemporary Issues in Tourism and Hospitality module and to work in genuine tourism and hospitality environments, putting what they have learned into practice.
