  • It is an on-campus program offered on both a full-time and a part-time basis.
  • This innovative, intensive course will equip students with the skills and knowledge they need to become highly competent physician associates.
  • This course has been developed in line with professional standards underwritten by the Faculty of Physician Associates at the Royal College of Physicians.
  • It will equip students with a broad range of clinical skills, knowledge, and professional attitudes required to practice in the medical field.
  • The core modules of the program include:
    • Research methods  
    • Foundations in Clinical Medicine 1
    • Foundations of Physician Associate Practice 1 
    • Evidencing Work-Based Learning for Physician Associates 
  • Teaching is delivered through virtual and face-to-face lectures, small group sessions, practical clinical skills labs, simulation, and peer-to-peer learning, as well as a range of web-based resources and e-learning.
  • This course takes place over two years for 45 weeks a year. Learning consists of alternating blocks of campus-based teaching and clinical placements.
