• Master of Science in Biomedical Science at the University of The West of England is a 1-year program.
  • It is an on-campus program offered on both a full-time and a part-time basis.
  • This course is aimed at students who want to take their biomedical science skills and knowledge to a higher level. 
  • The core modules of the program include:
    • Current Issues in Biomedical Science
    • Practical Skills for Biomedical Science 
    • Research and Diagnostic Methodologies
    • Advanced Specialist Subject Studies
    • Research Project 
  • Students will learn and develop experience through a mixture of lectures, tutorials, workshops, laboratory practicals, computer-based activities, and a conference week.
  • Full-time students should allow 40 hours per week of study time. 
  • The modules are assessed using a range of methods, including practical report writing, statistical analysis, oral presentations, poster presentations, researched essays and exams.
