• Master of Arts in Journalism at the University of The West of England is a 1-year program.
  • It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
  • The program is accredited by the Broadcast Journalism Training Council (BJTC).
  • This year-long post-graduate degree is full-time and runs from September to September.
  • Students will be taught through a combination of lectures, seminars, practical projects, and workshops.

    • Investigative Journalism 
    • Journalism Portfolio 
    • Journalism Writing 
    • Multimedia Journalism 1 and 2 
  • Students will develop storytelling skills and learn how to make intelligent and surprising programs that will captivate and engage audiences in a highly competitive broadcast landscape.
  • Students have a rare and unique opportunity to be matched with a BBC mentor who, alongside their tutor, will guide them through the production of a final major project.
  • The assessment takes place through a combination of practical work, research portfolios, exams, essays, and presentations.
