• Master of Arts in Animation at the University of The West of England is a 15 months program.
  • It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
  • This is a practice-led course that brings together a diverse range of students, from established practitioners to those seeking a conversion course for a career in animation.
  • Students will study both theoretical and contextual content, developing their understanding of the growing field of animation. 
  • Throughout the course, students will choose from a range of technical workshops, including stop-motion, 2D digital, and CG. 
  • In the first term, students will focus on ideas, design and storytelling that they will apply to their own project work. So students will be able to follow their interests from the start, tailoring the project to their career aspirations.
  • MA Animation is accredited by ScreenSkills, the UK's skills body for the screen industries.
  • This master's course is also eligible for the BAFTA scholarship scheme.
  • Students will learn through a combination of lectures, workshops, seminars, individual and group tutorials, master classes, and a rolling programme of guest speakers.
